The Holly Springs Police Department is a full service state accredited police agency. The department is made up of the command staff, sworn officers and civilian staff. The Police Chief manages the department and is assisted by a captain, 2 lieutenants and 7 sergeants.

The Captain manages the police administrative services which include internal affairs, training and field operations.  He is aided by a lieutenant who is the divisional commander for Field Operations.

The Field Operations Division is comprised of the Uniform Patrol Division, the Criminal Investigations Division, Part-Time Officers Unit, community policing programs, and a Police Explorer program for young adults aged 14 (if in the 9th grade) to 21.

The Office of Professional Standards is managed by a lieutenant who is responsible for the general administration of the police department and management of the certification program. This division reports directly to the Chief of Police.
